Hainault Vineyard

Hainault Vineyard was established in Bickley in 1978 and is the highest altitude vineyard in Western Australia.  Lyn and Michael Sykes purchased the vineyard in 2002 and have continued to produce a range of premium quality wines to be proud of.

All of their vines are hand pruned and the fruit is hand harvested, enabling them to select only the best fruit for their wines.  Along with their well-known Sparkling Pinot Noir, they grow Gewurztraminer, an aromatic German grape, from which they make a semi sweet wine that they call Forest Fruits.  Other varieties include Semillon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Hainault wines have received many awards at wine shows including the Swan Valley, Perth Hills and Qantas Mt Barker Wine shows and in 2010 was named the Most Successful Exhibitor at the Perth Hills Wine Show.

The café at Hainault offers light lunches and home-made cakes (using home grown free-range eggs) that can be enjoyed on the verandah overlooking the picturesque vineyard.  Lyn’s vineyard platters are made from fresh and where possible, home grown ingredients that offer a feast of flavours to accompany your wine selection.

Throughout Summer Hainault Vineyard and Cafe host a number of intimate Sundowners where you enjoy live music while watching the sun set over the vineyard. You are welcome to bring your onw picnic tea or pre-order a vineyard platter. For dates and details on performers please Follow Hainault on Facebook

So why not spend an afternoon in a friendly relaxed atmosphere at Hainault and sample their produce for yourself ? See you in the Hills.
